Blue

DRESS : Martin Bautista for Cinderella
HEELS : Dorothy Perkins

I have always been obsessed with old Hollywood and how the women of that time always looked so effortlessly glamorous and chic no matter what they had on. It was like they all had a certain level of confidence that women today no longer really have. Reading in to it I learned that a lot of them got their confidence from finding just the right outfit, hat, or pair of heels to wear. I never fully believed in that until I saw and put on this dress. The color, the long sleeves, the slit, everything about it was just screaming "WEAR ME!" And so I did.

By the way, I set my camera on timer and left it on a trash bin to take these photos. Thank God they turned out okay!

PFW S/S '14: What I wore

Top : Forever 21
Skirt : Topshop
Heels : Dorothy Perkins
Clutch : M)phosis

I'm not entirely sure what's going on, but I've recently been leaning towards my girly side when picking out an outfit. Here's a little something I put together for the SM Parisian fashion show. I have always loved this skirt, but I never really got use it because I kept pushing it to the back of my closet, saving it for the appropriate event. However, when I got the invite to watch my cousin walk the ramp for Parisian, I knew it was the perfect choice. I paired it with a black turtle neck halter top, patterned purse, and a simple ring to keep it balanced.

As for the show, both the shoes and the bags are to die for! I bought a few pairs from Parisian before but the styles now are so chic and so my style! Definitely going to make a few stops in SM soon! x

Almost Girly

Vest : Zara
Heels : Dorothy Perkins
Shades : Forever 21

I'm blogging right now on my old laptop from high school because sadly, my newer one decided to die. Not only did it die, it took my SLR with it. Two painful stabs in the heart. They both just crashed on the same week. So until I get a proper camera, I will be posting photos taken with my S3.

On days like this day, when the heat somehow seeps into my room, I like wearing clothes that I can easily slip on. I don't know about you, but I just don't have the patience or energy to wear something constricted and complicated when it's hot out. Dresses like this are my ultimate favorite! They are so easy to dress up and down. For this look, I brought out my new hologram cap toe heels to dress the outfit up just a little bit more. I paired this with my favorite vest so I could balance out the girly with edgy.  Hope you guys like it!

It's His But I Bought It

Top : Pacsun
Shorts : Zara
Bag : Carlos Santana
Necklace : Forever 21
Rings : Infinite Avenue

So here is what I decided to wear to school today. I actually wasn't planning to photograph this outfit but my dad complimented me as I was on my way out so I thought, why not? I actually bought this sweater for my boyfriend but just recently stole it back because it's so comfortable! I chose to wear this because I wanted to just feel very cozy and warm since most of the time it's really cold in our classrooms. By the way, those glasses aren't fake, I actually need them. I just don't really use them in public because they usually make me look funny lol.

The Minion Bag

Vest : Zara
Top : H&M
Shorts : Topshop
Shoes : Topshop
Bag : Aldo

Since today was so rainy and gloomy I decided to use this yellow Aldo bag to help brighten my day a little. Its shade kinda reminds of the minions from Despicable Me that I love so much. I think the bag is perfect for this outfit cause it adds a pop of color to the whole look.

#AéropostaleMNL

My beautiful cousins Hannah and Ella Pangilinan

Last week, June 19th to be exact, the clothing brand Aéropostale was finally launched in the newly re-opened Glorietta. Before the party started, my cousin Ella and I were treated to a mini-shopping spree at the store. We were thrilled and more than thankful for this opportunity and we went crazy! We're both beach girls and so the summery vibe of all the clothes is perfect for us. As for the party, it was fun to see some of my friends walk the runway and some awesome bands rock the stage, one of them being Up Dharma Down. I cannot even put into words how excited I got when the host announced that they were going to play. Champagne, wine, popcorn, mojos, and cotton candy were only some of the delicious treats being served to the guests of the show. Cute clothes, good-looking models, awesome bands, and great food? Yup, it was definitely a fun night. Thank you Aéropostale for the opportunity and invite, and congratulations on a successful, fun-filled event.

Proper outfit post and details up soon! x

Kitty Cat

Tint dress, Michael Kors sandals, Salvatore Ferragamo bag (vintage), Aldo kitty ears, Estella Shimei shades
Photos taken on my S3 by Tricia Ramos.

-Had to use the S3 cause my mom has the camera with her in NY-
Mornings have been starting earlier and nights have been ending later. The reason why I'm wearing shades in these photos is because the circles under my eyes are as dark as my dress. loljk

Getting dressed today was hard because I was pressured by an onlooker better known as my best friend Tricia. She had comments for everything I tried on. Gotta love her.  I decided to wear this dress today because it's loose and light, which made it a perfect match for the heat. As for that vintage Ferragamo bag, it used to be my moms back in the day. I adopted it lol. It's now one of my favorite and most used bags.

Hope you guys like the girly side of me. Later gators x

Switzerland

Stop number 2. Preparing for Europe, I was told that the weather wasn’t going to be that bad. Baguio weather they said, and they couldn’t have been more wrong. I was freezing! I didn’t exactly bring the right type of clothes because when I was packing, everyone was saying “Oh it’s not going to be that cold” or “No don’t bring those boots, it’s spring”. Walking to the airport parking lot, I had flashbacks of all the clothes I could have but did not bring!

We flew from Dublin to Geneva at around 6am Saturday morning, and then from there took our promoter’s gorgeous van all the way to Zurich. Saturday night was dad’s show, which was amazing as always. And on Sunday we were all finally able to rest. I’m not even joking, I only left my bed for breakfast, lunch, and bathroom breaks and of course dinner.

In Lucerne/Luzern.

Dublin

As expected, my body clock is officially messed up. I guess it's okay though because with Labor Day weekend coming up, who knows when I'm actually going to be able to get on the computer again. Oh, Dublin. I think the reason why I haven’t gotten over Dublin is because it was the city we spent the least time in. We got there on Thursday, the show was on Friday, and we left Saturday morning for Switzerland. I was able to go around a little bit on Friday before the show but it definitely wasn’t enough. Driving around, I fell in love with the small vintage boutiques, the street art, and the architecture in the city. I really do feel terrible that we weren’t really able to explore but I’m excited because that just means we have to go back someday soon!

Looking extra faded after getting off the nearly 24-hour trip from Manila to Dublin.

Deadbeat Summer

Two-year course. It sounds so lovely 'til it stabs you in the back. I don't mean to start this post on a sour note, I just can't stand the fact that I don't get to enjoy summer vacation this year. I've been telling myself it's okay since I'll be preparing to finish by this time next year, but I love summer too much. It would be a lie if I said it isn't one of, if not my favorite season of the year.

A day before holy week completely ended and took our break with it, Kc and I decided we wanted to do something different. We wanted to somehow escape from our loving boyfriends, have some 'girls only' time, and release our inner modeling skills... Of course halfway through our little shoot I realized that I cannot pose in front of a camera to save my life.. unless I'm smiling. I am not joking, all my serious poses were candid or planned out very well. Now I know. There goes my modeling career! It was super fun though. Sadly, I don't have all the photos, but here are a few of my favorites (the only ones I think I look good in lol).

Thanks Tricia for taking the photos. I looove you!
Oh and the lighting we used was from a projector at Kc's place. Genius.

Surf's Up

Before the dreaded goodbyes to those who live abroad, my cousins and I decided it would be a great idea to head to La Union. You know, roadtrip, waves, a few beers, and family time. It was definitely one of the best beach trips of my life.

Wedding Bells!

What better way to start the New Year than with a wedding? Not just any wedding at that, but my older brother’s wedding! I can’t even put into words how genuinely happy I am for the newlyweds. Finally, after nearly seven years, Sam is officially a part of our family. Not that she never was, we all grew up together. For those who don’t know, the Godinez-Valenciano tribe goes way back. Our parents have been friends for over twenty-five years causing us kids to start hanging out at a very young age. It was inevitable!
